My stepson Austin Yost bought his 2015 Dodge Dart here two weeks ago. Very nice car with only 28k miles. The asking price was below KBB value. Austin just turned 18 and I let him handle this deal 100% on his own, including procuring his own loan from our credit union by first establishing his own line of credit. Unfortunately, 48 hours after the purchase the car broke down and we had it towed to Byers Chrysler for what we assumed would be factory warranty repairs. Byers stat...ed that the clutch had failed and it was not under the Factory bumper to bumper warranty. When I explained that the clutch did not gradually fail i.e. begin to slip and then fail to pull - but failed all at once while leaving from a dead stop, I suggested Byers disassemble the transmission and visually inspect the clutch assembly, they informed me we would have to pay for the labor regardless of their findings. Austin contacted Bob Chapman Ford and explained his dilemma and they promptly had it towed back to their dealership and repaired at NO cost. In an industry plagued with shady sales practices and questionable service when dealing with experienced adults, it was more than a breath of fresh air to see Bob Chapman Ford stand behind their sale to an 18year old young man despite the fact that Dodge wouldn’t stand behind their own factory warranty! Kudos to Bob Chapman Ford -well worth the drive for my fellow Central Ohioans in search of an honest dealership to purchase a new or used car from. Their integrity is unparalleled in my opinion.
